The Norwegian Folk Museum is the country’s largest cultural history museum with the world’s first open-air museum and large indoor exhibitions.

The Norwegian Folk Museum is Norway’s largest cultural history museum, and the only one that has nationwide collections from the 1500’s and up to today. With large collections from urban and rural communities, the museum presents cultural conditions in a historical perspective as well as in today’s society. The museum is located in Bygdøy, Oslo, and includes both an open-air museum and large indoor exhibitions. The museum has a rich activity program and changing exhibitions. Every year around 250,000 people visit the museum.
