National Scout Jamboree in Eidskog in 1993

1. Rauma Åndalsnes attended with both troop and rover team on the national scout jamboree in Eidskog in 1993. The camp gathered about 14,000 participants at Ingelsrud farm, the place that would later become NSF’s camp site.

Ingelsrud farm is located in Eidskog municipality in Hedmark. The municipality borders in the north against Kongsvinger and South Odal, in the west against Aurskog-Høland and Nes. Eidskog is otherwise a border municipality against Sweden, and if I do not remember much wrong some of hitchhiking routes went through Sweden.

A scout jamboree provides a lifetime of memories. Personally, I’ve been fortunate that I’ve been involved in two national jamborees, Skaugum in 1989 and Eidskog in 1993. I also have many good memories from district camps and tours with scout group.

From jamboree in Eidskog I have only a small number of pictures. At the time there were 24 or 36 exposure film that had to be developed and printed.
