QSO number 1000

Today I have passed QSO number 1000, which is entered in my log. QSO number 1000 was with DL6XAZ on PSK31.

The QSO I’ve most proud of was with VK7NET (20 m) from Tasmania (Australia), PY3ED (20 m) from Brazil, VU2UNE (40 m) from India, JA3GAK (40 m) from Japan and 9K2YM (40 m) from Kuwait all on PSK31.

In April 2015 NRRL Sambandstjenesten attended HarbourEx15. This exercise is the largest civilian exercise that is carried out in Norway.

APRS tracking a scout adventure

In the first week of June Fagerstrand Scouts went on this year’s adventure. During the week, we should build our own rafts and sail 100 km on the Swedish river Klarälven. All fleets were APRS tracked so that parents and others who would follow us could see our positions on the map.

World Cup in Holmenkollen

In the second weekend in March it was time for festival featuring World Cup in Holmenkollen. Among the thousands of volunteers were 13 radio amateurs from Oslo Group. The radio amateurs were responsible for tracking medical resources, communication network for the jumping competition and operation of  the healthcare communications center with a radio operator and a logger.

Today the last FM transmitters are turned off, or?

Since the first shutdown of FM transmitters in Nordland county on January 11 this year, FM transmitters across the country have been turned off region by region. The last region where FM transmitters are switched off were in Troms and Finnmark.

9 April 2010 I passed a license exam as a radio amateur. The Norwegian Post and Telecommunications Authority granted me the call sign LA6CSA.
