Going to the Ham Radio fair in Friedrichshafen

Ham Radio fair in Friedrichshafen has brought nearly 15,000 exhibitors and visitors from all continents. The exhibition which is Europe’s largest of its kind this year was staged for the 38th time.

The fair in Friedrichshafen gathers radio amateurs and equipment manufacturers from around the world. Here gather technical expertise, from young entrepreneurs and established manufacturers to radio amateurs who have crossed half the planet to be present in the exhibition halls in Friedrichshafen.

Two large exhibition halls were filled with used equipment. There was a lot different to find, particularly in measuring the sample was immense. I am sure there was nothing that could be measured tha there were an instrument for sale for. Also within tubes and components there was a good selection.

In addition to the large second-hand market was also an exhibition hall where new and exciting equipment was presented. Here all the major manufacturers were present, as well as a large number of smaller manufacturers who showcased their innovations and products. Several national amateur radio organizations had their own stands in the hall. The same had enthusiasts for training and emergency communication. A collection of international radio scouts also had its own stand where they promoted the radio scouting in general and JOTA special.

Along with LA3BTA Ivan and LA5FRA Paul Henry I had made the trip to this year’s fair. Below is a collection of images showing some of our trip.
